Tulsa - conquered.

Greetings from Route 40 in northern Texas. We're currently passing through Amarillo, the self-proclaimed capital of the Texas panhandle. Not much is jumpin' in northern TX.

Yesterday's drive spanned PA, Ohio (and rain), Indy (flat), Illinois, Mizzou, and ended in the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. A quick dinner at the local Cracker Barrel (where else?), nap, and we were back on the road this morning by 4:30 local time. Best decision of the trip? Taking a minivan. I never want to own one in my life, but these things were made for more than just PTA meetings and soccer practices. Just ask Kristen, who's currently passed out in the back.

Attention Northeasterners - your television is not lying to you. Sonic restaurants actually do exist! Quicker than your average fast food joint, the burgers did not disappoint. I'd put them slightly above Wendy's. Shakes were steps above Frosties.

On tap for today - BBQ, the Hoover Dam, and maybe a national park. More to come tonight when we reach Vegas. For those of you working today, keep on truckin'.

All I want for Christmas...

...is a Rose Bowl victory.

I'll admit I had big hopes for this blog when I created it this past fall (I even had a substantial pre-PSU/OSU article ready to roll). Blame it on work, blame it on a few minor accounting errors, it is obvious things never materialized. But I'm back and hopefully more consistent.

On tap? An 11 day, 5,000 mile road trip across the great U S of A to the Rose Bowl. Starting with wings and ending with Barney's our trip to sunny Cali will be documented here. Stay tuned for details on the trip, bowl game predictions and team breakdowns.

Merry Christmas to all.

Welcome

Those of you who are reading this know me pretty well. I'm a pretty simple guy. Steak and potatoes. Tanqueray and tonic, easy on the tonic. The only thing better than a Yuengling is a Yuengling on football Saturday. Joe Paterno, Dear Old State, and the nameless blue and white jerseys are closer to my heart than the House that Ruth Built ever will be. Rather than bore listserv's with my verbose analysis and down-trodden realistic views on the boys in blue, I've decided to start posting my thoughts here. Sit back, enjoy, and leave your comments if you feel up to it.

We are!
