Tulsa - conquered.

Greetings from Route 40 in northern Texas. We're currently passing through Amarillo, the self-proclaimed capital of the Texas panhandle. Not much is jumpin' in northern TX.

Yesterday's drive spanned PA, Ohio (and rain), Indy (flat), Illinois, Mizzou, and ended in the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. A quick dinner at the local Cracker Barrel (where else?), nap, and we were back on the road this morning by 4:30 local time. Best decision of the trip? Taking a minivan. I never want to own one in my life, but these things were made for more than just PTA meetings and soccer practices. Just ask Kristen, who's currently passed out in the back.

Attention Northeasterners - your television is not lying to you. Sonic restaurants actually do exist! Quicker than your average fast food joint, the burgers did not disappoint. I'd put them slightly above Wendy's. Shakes were steps above Frosties.

On tap for today - BBQ, the Hoover Dam, and maybe a national park. More to come tonight when we reach Vegas. For those of you working today, keep on truckin'.
